Advanced Mechanical Systems Ltd (AMS) designs and builds specialist robotic and mechatronic systems for complex industrial and technical applications. We develop practical solutions for challenging access, mobility, deployment, inspection and automation requirements, from early-stage R&D through to deployable systems.
What we do
AMS develops application-specific robotic and mechatronic systems for demanding industrial and technical applications. Our work spans robotic platforms, remote and automated systems, inspection and scanning equipment, deployment systems, specialist tooling and applied R&D.
We take projects from feasibility and concept development through system architecture, detailed design, manufacture, assembly, controls, integration and testing, developing each solution around the task, operating environment and required performance.
Robotic Platforms & Systems
AMS develops robotic platforms for applications requiring controlled movement, access, positioning or payload deployment in challenging environments. Systems range from compact restricted-access robots to larger application-specific platforms, with the architecture developed around the task, operating environment and payload.
Deployment, Tooling & Payload Integration
AMS designs deployment systems, mechanical interfaces, carriers, tooling and fixtures for cameras, sensors, inspection equipment, instruments and other application-specific payloads. Solutions are developed around the access, geometry, operating environment and task requirements.
Engineering, Integration & R&D
Our work covers system architecture, mechanical and mechatronic design, controls, manufacture, assembly, integration and functional testing. Projects range from feasibility studies and experimental prototypes through to complete systems developed for field deployment.
AMS also integrates client equipment, sensors, instruments and inspection technologies where required, including eddy current, eddy current array, ultrasonic, phased array, RVI and other sensing methods.
